On Got a Little Lost Filling a Hole:

Well, I’ve been looking at puppies. Mostly on the web.

I doesn’t matter what kind they are. Any puppy will do. I’m not quite ready to bring one home just yet. But it does my heart good just to look.

I did discover a kind of dog new to me. A Chiweenie. It is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. Kind of like a mini, mini dachshund. (Of course there are some that are more Chihuahua, but I’ve found them to be more rare so far.)

Anyway, here is a video for your pleasure too.

I do know how you feel. When I lost a VERY beloved cat a while back, I wasn't immediately ready to commit to a new kitten, but looking around made me feel better. It helps ease the hurt by giving you hope of an exciting new relationship to come (although the new pet will never "replace" the old one!).

We finally found two little guys who were perfect for us about 4 months later. Let me say, having those new lives to nurture and bond with was SO therapeutic. I still miss my lost love so much, but I think more about the future with these guys and I love to see them maturing and growing into some similar traits as he had (they are the same breed, so lots of similarities).

Hang in there, and keep your heart open to finding another companion someday! It does help, when the time is right.
